The zinnias were slow to grow this year, but so worth the wait. Stunning, saturated colour. The cosmos, though, have grown too tall to keep themselves upright, especially in the wind right now. They won’t last long inside, but I love how wild and cheerful they are.
Delighted to be chatting with @toni_jordan_writer at Muse bookshop, Canberra, in a couple of weeks. Gotta love pumpkin plants. No sense at all of personal space for other inhabitants of the veggie patch. Full on, busy, lush, and committed to world domination.
I love it when a book cover really captures the essence of all that’s inside. The whispy, curling, shifting images on A Country of Eternal Light by Paul Dalgarno do that so well.
