Radio Review
Here’s a wonderful radio review of The Anchoress by the lovely Maryanne Vagg, ‘The Book Chick’ on 93.9 BayFM Lifestyle Radio, Geelong.

Wednesday 20th May
Heading off to gorgeous Sydney for the Writers’ Festival. I feel very fortunate to be appearing on two panels with some fascinating writers. One panel, on Thursday, is called The Body: Death, Sex and Denial, and one on Friday is On Research: No pain, No gain. They should both be great fun.
Apart from that, I’m booked in for sessions to hear Helen MacDonald (H is for Hawk); Amy Bloom (Lucky Us) and Emily St John Mandel on Art and Survival. Lucky me!
Photos to come.

Perth Writers Festival February 19-22

Unfortunately I was too distracted by meeting so many great people that I forgot to take photos! But I do have this one, with the lovely Elizabeth Gilbert, who had just finished reading my novel and told me she loved it, then gave The Anchoress a plug on Facebook and Twitter. Gotta love such generosity.

In the week that Gina Reinhart offloads her shares in Fairfax, I find myself in the Saturday edition. Any connection?

Robyn Cadwallader’s book The Anchoress is at times `almost unbearably sensual’.

Tuesday 10th February 2015

Some copies of The Anchoress have already planted themselves on bookstore shelves!

The Anchoress is the ‘Women’s Weekly Good Read’ for March. Apparently the magazine comes out two weeks before the month on its cover … so that might mean it will be out in a few days!

Friday 16th January 2015

I was delighted to discover that my debut novel, The Anchoress, which will launch in February 2015, has been featured in a number of ‘What to Watch’ articles in major newspapers over the summer break.

Jane Sullivan mentions The Anchoress in her ‘Books of 2015: A Preview of the Highlights’ at the Sydney Morning Herald (December 27, 2014), and the novel is also featured in Susan Wyndham’s contribution to ‘Australian faces to watch in 2015: Television, movies, music, movies’ (we can only assume they meant books too!) at The Age (January 10, 2015).
